Welcome! I am a Biological Anthropologist interested in the behavior and ecology of South American primates, with a particular focus on woolly monkeys. In my research, I combine field- and laboratory-based methods to understand the ecological, physiological, and genetic factors that influence reproductive strategies in nonhuman primates, particularly with an eye toward understanding our own human sexual behaviors. My most recent work also has an applied focus, as it involves developing community-based conservation initiatives to prevent further population declines of South American primates. |
